Players can complete missions - linear scenarios with set objectives - to progress through the story. The product is played from a third-person perspective, its world is navigated on foot or by vehicle. The player controls one of the gang's members, who has recently been released from prison. It’s set in the fictional city of Stillwater and follows the story of the Third Street Saints, a local gang who are attempting to take control of the town from several rival gangs. A mobile version was also released for iOS and Android platforms in May 2013. It was released in August 2006 for the Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows, and in November Saints Row for PS4 was available too. It’s the first installment in Saints Row series.
